The Desecration of the Blessed Sacrament in San Francisco and Archbishop George Niederauer

The Desecration of the Blessed Sacrament in San Francisco and Archbishop George Niederauer is the subject of this Big B File.

Most Holy Redeemer Church - San Francisco, CA     On Sunday, October 7, 2007 at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in San Francisco, Archbishop George Niederauer was the presider at a mass at a parish that, according to the website LifeSiteNews.com, “has a lamentable reputation for having caved into the demands and agenda of the Homosexual activists”…virtually turning its back on Roman Catholic Church teaching. During the mass, two people from the militant homosexual group called the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence whose motto is “go and sin some more” went up to Archbishop Niederauer to receive communion, which known to Roman Catholics as the body of Christ himself. This was done with the intention of desecrating the Roman Catholic Mass and to defile the Blessed Sacrament itself. . . .As well as to embarrass the Archbishop himself. You can click here to view the parish’s Anti-Catholic history.

The desecration comes exactly two (2) weeks after the archbishop condemned the poster ArchBishop George Niederauer \ San Francisco, CA (since 1995)promoting the Folsom Street Fair, a street festival that for homosexuals who literally perform sex acts out on the open street in full view with the public . . . with children of all ages and their parents present. And these are sex acts that would be seen on the Playboy Channel, if anywhere at all! And in some cases, these people had very little on clothing wise.

The poster was an intentional and a total mockery of the last supper, one of the most significant events in all of Christianity. Jesus Christ and his disciples were replaced with homosexual men who were virtually naked i.e. with very little clothing on if any at all and the bread and wine was replaced with… get this…Sex toys! That’s right…sex toys. The very same toys that are used to perform sex acts with other adults. The Big B Files covered the Controversy back on September 26, 2007 (Click here to view the Big B File).

Archbishop Niederauer rightly condemned the poster itself, and as a result of the poster itself and the Last Supper Mockery, a campaign against Miller Brewing Company by the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, which ended in late November, and prompted Mike Setto, owner of Orion Keg & Wine Party Store in Lake Orion, Michigan along with more than 50 other businesses operated by Chaldean Catholics to quit selling ANY Miller Brewing Company Products. A dozen Chaldean organizations had also joined the boycott and it drew the support of high-ranking members of the Catholic clergy, the Knights of Columbus in Illinois and New York and the Chaldean community in Michigan. For more information about the efforts of the Chaldean community, see www.chaldean.org. The boycott lasted until the just after Halloween, when Miller Brewing apologized for the sponsorship of the poster and of the event.

The militant group’s aim was to embarrass the archbishop in a very public way . . . and they succeeded. After the video of the Mass where the desecration took place was made public and was covered by Bill O’Reilly on The O’Reilly Factor TV Program, Archbishop George Niederauer apologized for giving the Gay Militants Communion back on October 7, 2007.

In the apology, the Archbishop said that “I noticed no protest, no demonstration, no disruption of the Sunday Eucharist . . . Toward the end of the communion line, two strangely dressed persons came to receive communion, I did not see any mock religious garb. As I recall, one of them wore a large flowered hat or garland.”
*
The Big B Files believes that Archbishop George Niederauer knew exactly what he was doing and who these people were at the time of the desecration as well as right now. Take a look at the video on the left. In the video, Archbishop Niederauer is first approached in the Communion Line by the first gay militant, who holds out his hand in the same manner as any Catholic would that receives communion in the hand from the priest. At that point, the Archbishop held up his right hand in the same manner that any priest, deacon, or Eucharistic Minister would to give someone a blessing who, according to the Code of Canon Law number 915, cannot receive communion. The Code of Canon Law number 915 says the following:

Those upon whom the penalty of excommunication or interdict has been imposed or declared, and others who obstinately persist in manifest grave sin, are not to be admitted to holy communion.

- Can. 915 – Code of Canon Law of the Catholic Church.

For the next few seconds, the gay militant attempts to talk the Archbishop into giving him communion. Then, five (5) seconds later, Archbishop Niederauer gives the two “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” the body of Jesus Christ, in direct violation of Roman Catholic Church Teaching and the Church’s Code of Canon Law Number 915.

The Big B Files went into researching this controversy with an open mind and giving Archbishop George Niederauer every benefit of the doubt and the belief of the Archbishop’s innocence in this controversy, but all doubt was tossed right out of the window when I viewed the video of this event in its entirety. The Big B Files bases this view on my years of haven been a Eucharistic Minister, along with having observed ant talked to a number of Priests and Deacons, some of whom have been in ministry for over 30 years.

With the few exceptions of Archbishop George Niederauer doing the right thing, the Archbishop has a long history of endorsing and/or approving of things that run totally against Roman Catholic Church teaching for years . . . even before being installed as the Archbishop of San Francisco, CA Archdiocese in 2005. As far as the Big B Files can determine from researching this story, the pattern of the Archbishop goes back top his days as the head of the Salt Lake City, Utah Archdiocese. Links to the research material can be found at the end of this Big B File.

The Most Holy Redeemer Parish’s Anti-Catholic History goes back a quarter century to Fr. Anthony McGuire, who was sent to the parish with the express purpose of ministering to the Gay Community in San Francisco. Instead, the parish has…for all intents and purposes…given up it’s catholic identity and completely caved in to the Homosexual Agenda.

In the view of the Big B Files, the most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church should no longer be considered a Roman Catholic Parish as of now and should be suppressed since it has completely turned it’s back on the Catholic Church and disregards ALL church teaching…period! Archbishop George Niederauer should be replaced by Pope Benedict XVI. The pastor of Most Holy Redeemer Parish, Fr. Stephen Meriwether, should be replaced as pastor of the parish along with being relieved from active ministry and be made to relearn Church Teaching on homosexuality, Instead of Archbishop George Niederauer condemning the desecration that occurred at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church on October 7, 2007, he and the pastor attacked the pastor who recorded the event on video and journalists and commentators like myself who brought the act of the desecration of the eucharist to light. Archbishop Niederauer said the following at a press conference on October 18, 2007 (courtesy of Daily Estimate website):

“The blogosphere is a kind of dangerous, endless recess in a global schoolyard, where the bullies with the biggest bullhorns can shout whatever they want.”

- Archbishop George Niederaur, San Francisco(CA) \ October 19, 2007 Press Conference

Fr. Donald Godfrey added to the attack by saying this:

“I thought it was disrespectful for somebody to go to another church with the intention of filming it,” he added, “without asking the pastor permission to do that and, second, with the intention of using that in a hostile way, without having a conversation first with the pastor. On the face of it, they were out to get the archbishop.”

- Fr. Donald Godfrey, Concelebrant at the Oct. 7, 2007 Mass.

Just simply amazing . . .isn’t it? As I said before, the Big B Files had an open mind and giving Archbishop George Niederauer every benefit of the doubt and the belief of the Archbishop’s innocence when the research into this controversy began shortly after the desecration occurred on October 7, 2007. It was not only when relevent facts came to light that any benefit of the doubt and belief of the Archbishop’s innocence in this controversy went out the window, prompting the decision for the Big B Files to call for the removal of Archbishop Goerge Niederauer from office Cardinal William Levada, prefect of the Congrgeation for the Doctrine of the Faithand pastoral care of the San Francisco Archdiocese as soon as possible along with the Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Cardinal William J. Levada (photo on Left), should be reassigned to a position that has very little…if any . . .impact on Roman Catholic Church Teaching and the Code of Canon Law.

The Big B Files believes that Pope Benedict XVI should appoint someone who is like Archbishop Raymond Burke of St. Louis (MO), Bishop George Lucas of Springfield (IL), Fr. Benedict Groeschel, C.F.R. or Fr. Mitch Pacwaof EWTN fame as the head of the San Francisco Archdiocese. The desecration of the Blessed Sacrament in San Francisco was an attack on Roman Catholics that cannot be ignored. Judas, Jesus Christ and the 30 pieces of silver

Filed under: Christianity — bigbfiles @ 6:40 am

Judas, Jesus Christ and the 30 pieces of silver is the subject of this Big B File.

Today is Good Friday. For Catholics and other Christians around the world this is the day that Jesus Christ Died on the Cross for all our sins and those of the whole world after first being betrayed by Judas Iscariot the night before for the sum of Thirty (30) pieces of Silver. This made me wonder the following questions:

How much would 30 pieces of silver by worth today (adjusted for inflation)?
Would that be enough for you and I to succumb to temptation and betray Jesus ourselves . . . just like Judas Iscariot did 2008 years ago?

It makes you wonder, does it not? As ths story is told to us in the Bible in the Gospel Book of Matthew:

When Jesus finished all these words, he said to his disciples, “You know that in two days’ time it will be Passover, and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.” Then the chief priests and the elders of the people assembled in the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, and they consulted together to arrest Jesus by treachery and put him to death. But they said, “Not during the festival, that there may not be a riot among the people.”.

Now when Jesus was in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, a woman came up to him with an alabaster jar of costly perfumed oil, and poured it on his head while he was reclining at table. When the disciples saw this, they were indignant and said, “Why this waste? It could have been sold for much, and the money given to the poor.” Since Jesus knew this, he said to them, “Why do you make trouble for the woman? She has done a good thing for me..

The poor you will always have with you; but you will not always have me. In pouring this perfumed oil upon my body, she did it to prepare me for burial. Amen, I say to you, wherever this gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will be spoken of, in memory of her.”.

Then one of the Twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, “What are you willing to give me if I hand him over to you?” They paid him thirty pieces of silver, and from that time on he looked for an opportunity to hand him over..

    - Matthew 16:1-16, New American Bible

The 30 pieces of silver today would be worth around $950 today. According to the Professional Coin Grading Service, “The value of 30 of these coins was significant at the time. Such a sum likely would have purchased a small farm. Quite a bribe for the time…” On average, a Small farm goes for around $240,000 in our country today . . . which would consist of the farmhouse for the farmer and the family, barns, equipment, along with 120 acres on which to plant and harvest crops. To put it in terms most people can understand, $240,000 would buy:

  • A 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer for you and eight of your closest friends,
  • a down payment on Luxury home, or
  • outright buy a brand new home in most of the USA . . . in cash.

Now how hard is it to resist the temptation to betray Jesus now?
The Big B Files wanted to do this research to help give you a good idea how big of a thing 30 pieces of silver was at the time and how Judas could have succumbed to temptation to betray Jesus on that Holy Thursday night.
People have betrayed others for far less than the price of a small farm.
This is the day that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, my sins, and the sins of the whole world. Without Jesus laying down his life for all of us 2008 years ago, we would not have a sense of peace nor what it feels like to have been forgiven of our sins. The United States would never have existed of Jesus had not died on the cross all those years ago.
We all have said the same thing the apostles said at the Last Supper to Jesus when they stated that they would never betray him.
Let me conclude this Big B File by asking you this question. . . If you were in the place of Judas, would you be able to resist such a great temptation (as mentioned above) and not betray Jesus, whether it was over 2000 years ago or it is today?
